  • Overview

    The mission of the Jones finance team is to become “Trusted Business Partners” within each business unit.  This is accomplished by informing, supporting and challenging our colleagues. The Raw Materials Clerk function is critical to this mission and to the financial and administrative operations of the business. Critical to the position is ensuring integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of data processing. 



    • Create and manage raw material suppliers, landowners, logging subcontractors, customers, freight subcontractors and contracts using Fibertrack software.  
    • Review raw material tickets daily for accuracy, and process payments for vendors each week using Fibertrack software.
    • Process logging tract tickets weekly as they are presented by logging subcontractors
    • Reconcile and process freight bills for residual sales and lumber sales.  Verify and monitor insurance requirement for freight vendors
    • Reconcile and process customer settlements and payments for residual and log sales weekly as they are received.
    • Process and file severance tax returns monthly



    • High School Diploma or Equivalent with 3+ years of related bookkeeping experience
    • Proven ability for great attention to detail
    • Enthusiasm for being part of a team and working in a team oriented environment
    • Great communication skills with team members, vendors and customers
    • Self-motivated and forward thinking
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Experience in forest products industry (desired of ideal candidate, but not required)
    • Experience with Epicor Fibertrack/Lumbertrack (desired of ideal candidate, but not required)
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (desired of ideal candidate, but not required)
